Check-in kioskLet one visitor register or check in.The fields and service choices needed for that arrival.
Waiting-room displayTell the room which ticket or visitor is being called.A ticket identifier and destination, with only the public information your organization has chosen to display.
Personal status pageLet a visitor check their own queue status on a phone.Their visit status and next step, not a staff record screen.

Plan the arrival before adding a kiosk

Write down how a first-time visitor and a returning visitor arrive. A clinic may need to distinguish an appointment from a walk-in. A service centre may first ask which type of assistance is required. A public counter may need an assisted route for someone who cannot complete a touchscreen form.

Keep the kiosk form short and provide a staffed alternative. Do not ask people to repeat information merely because the device can collect it. Test what happens when the visitor chooses the wrong service, steps away halfway through or needs help finding a booking. A successful check-in should lead to a clear confirmation, not an uncertain return to the first screen.

Design a display for the room

Test the waiting-room screen from the furthest seat, not from a laptop on the reception desk. Check text size, glare and whether the destination is understandable. “Ticket 24 — Counter 3” is more useful than an internal department code visitors do not recognize.

If sound is part of the calling workflow, test it on the actual device and browser. Also make the visual call clear enough for visitors who cannot hear it. The display should support the service process without becoming a second source of instructions that conflicts with staff.

Keep private records separate

A shared screen is not a suitable place for clinical notes, private documents or a person's full service history. In Ado Q, the public arrival and status experience is separate from staff-managed client and patient records. Review the chosen display fields and never use a staff record page as a substitute for a public kiosk.

Ado Q connects QR check-in and kiosk workflows with queues and client and patient information. Ask for a demonstration covering the arrival, staff call and public display together. Hardware can also be discussed with Ado Q; request a written device and installation quote alongside the subscription so that the package is clear.
