Check records as well as the queue
Ado Q combines client or patient profiles, visit history, notes and documents with appointments and service flow. It is designed for healthcare and other service teams; it should not be confused with a full sales-pipeline CRM or specialist electronic medical record system. See client and patient management.
Qminder's Business feature list includes visitor history, remote check-in, SMS chat, staff and service analytics, iPad kiosk and Apple TV waiting-room views. It is not accurate to describe it as “only a ticket queue” or as lacking visitor context. Its published plan scope is the appropriate starting point for a demo.
Give both demos the same scenario
Use a fictional returning visitor who books an appointment, arrives early and needs to move to another service. Ask the presenter to show how staff find the existing record, check the visit in, make the transfer and review what happened afterwards.
Then test a walk-in who has no appointment. Check the visitor's screen separately from the staff screen. In a clinic, private documents must not appear on a shared display; at a service centre, the public view should not expose a customer's private service notes.
Decide what would rule a product out
Write down your non-negotiables before comparing prices: number of staff, daily arrivals, locations, devices and any systems that must connect. For Ado Q, do not make customer WhatsApp automation a launch dependency while the integration remains unreleased. Ask each vendor to demonstrate, rather than merely discuss, any essential capability.
A smaller team can use Ado Q's published capacity tiers as a starting point. A larger operation should evaluate Qminder's broader Business allowance against its actual scope. Neither starting price establishes the best fit without that check.
